LAN card survey - part1

因為去年談了兩台HTPC的計畫，今年在動工之前做了一些前期的study，內容有趣所以整理一下
目前看到的資料做個紀錄，有其他的資料之後會再補充
最早的起源是一位ID叫 Tomj的德國網友(本名Eric)在 Audiophile Style發過的文章

開始之前要先提一個重點，這些測試Eric要將資料透過100Base TX傳到喇叭KEF LS50 W II
有別於一般使用串流播放機或是PC再接DAC走類比訊號再給擴大機喇叭，要先清楚測試的目的再去看結果

另外給沒耐心看完的人提前的結論，Eric目前測試的結果，影響聲音不是Jitter
目前研究傾向是共模干擾或是共模雜訊，另外在evergreen的測試上看到使用外接的10M clock會增得jitter跟noise

在LAN card的部分
Intel的i350網卡贏過同chip的JCAT Net Card XE，使用更貴的OCXO跟LDO的JCAT看來沒有幫助

在Switch的部分
使用OCXO來改機的switch可以提升jitter，但noise上升兩倍

由這三個實驗看的出來
1. 內建OCXO可能讓jitter變好，但noise上升，無助於音質
2. 外接clock會讓jitter變差，符合認知的外接clock精度下降

貴到不行Innuos Phoenix Net，實測的評價更是直接
"這裡再次進行比較，我的設定中的當前參考值是 WR902AC：峰值-峰值：640pS，標準。偏差：75.1pS。
DH 25 歐元的 WLAN 用戶端比 3,500 歐元的歐元交換器具有更好的抖動值。"

某店家極力推崇的Wireworld Starlight 8，共模干擾上沒特別好，另在jitter雖然不錯但輸身價只有百分之一的Gigablue CAT 8
